It was given to her by a young man she loved on many forbidden occasions, until he died tragically late in his twenties. It sounds like a fairy tale. It means more to me now than it ever has.

Innocence. Not necessarily virginity (I don't miss that a damn bit), but before the time when I learn how truly fucked up the world and all it's people really are. When everything was pretty, and nothing had to mean anything. That, and I miss being able to stick my legs behind my head. Useless abilities always go away when you find uses for them. I believe that's why old people are so fragile...
